Oxide Primers

Vermillian quick dry red/ grey oxide primer for exterior steel surfaces. This tough, durable semi matt coating is ideal for security gates, door and window frames, in fact any steel surface exept IBR and corugated steel. For aplication on surfaces that need to be sprayed or painted to protect against harm caused by rust over time.

As an oxide, water and air molecules need to be discharged as it is the main cause of rust from spreading. Vermillian oxide primer has chain binding characteristics to form a smooth finish that stop water penetration and rust forming. The substrate should be treated thoroughly with GALV-ETCH prior to aplication of Oxide primers as the substrate are covered in galvanising oil to protect surface prior to painting. GALV-ETCHis an environmental friendly pre treatment that removes harmful substances that causes peeling and rusting. Steel surfaces is covered with a galvanizing oil to prevent the substrate from rusting while left outside in humid and raining conditions. GALV-ETCH remove these oils that cause pealing.

Rust form when water and air reacts called oxidation, thus leading to detiriation of the substrate due to rust forming on the substrate. This reaction causes headaces to the consumer and are costly in future if treatment is not applied as structure is erected.

PRODUCT APPLICATION   
• All surfaces must be clean, firm and dry before painting.
• All surfaces must be treated with GALV-ETCH.
• Before use, the paint should be stirred thoroughly.
• Apply Enamel evenly by brush, roller or spray.
• For spray application, use Thinners.
• Apply one or more coats to achieve complete obliteration.
• Allow 6 hours drying time.
• Sand lightly during coats.
• After use, clean equipment with Recycled Thinners or Lacquer Thinners.
